The North America 2017 event welcomes 10,500+ attendees to Silicon Valley!

Firstly, we’d like to thank all those who attended the IoT Tech Expo North America 2017 which returned to the Santa Clara Convention Center, CA for the final leg of the 2017 world series with an extended agenda, larger expo, brand new topics and two co-located events covering Blockchain and AI. The event attracted an audience of 10,500+ attendees with delegates from across North America and beyond to discuss the potential of IoT, Blockchain and AI across a number of industries, with top-level speakers sharing their expertise and experiences on the subject. We hope you found the event beneficial and made some new connections.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to our sponsors, speakers and exhibitors for their involvement in the event and for making it a fascinating and diverse two days.

The two-day event hosted 15 conference tracks, an exhibition, AI start-up incubator, IoT meetup and an evening of networking. On the first day speakers including NASA, Halliburton, Boeing, Bluetooth, Cisco, State of Nevada, Ford, Schneider Electric and many more took to the stage to explore IIoT, manufacturing,  connectivity, smart factories, data privacy, interoperability, security, and more.

Day 2 welcomed the new conference tracks ‘Smart Transportation & Cities’ and ‘IoT in Enterprise’ with speakers from Thyssenkrupp, Shell, Federal Trade Commission, Visa, State of Utah, Toyota, Aviva, Compare, Seattle Reign FC and more sharing their knowledge and experiences across a range of industries and verticals.

The North America IoT event will arrive in the Bay Area next week for the final leg of the 2017 World Series. The world’s largest IoT event will host over 9,000 attendees in the Santa Clara Convention Center, CA where it will be co-located with the Blockchain Expo and AI Expo. Connected IndustryKeynote: Realizing the Value of IIoT

Opening the Connected Industry track, Lionel Chocron, Vice President Industry and IoT Solutions at Oracle will be asking; To what extent do you need to redesign organisations, partnerships & operations to realise the value of Industry 4.0? Chocron will be discussing how Oracle are identifying and working with new ecosystem partners and how to support your products and processes through the entire product life cycle. There will be further discussions around developing your own proprietary platforms vs working with external vendors. November 29 – 9:20am.

Data & Security – Case Study: Data Protection in USA Market

Senator Ben Kieckhefer will join the Data & Security conference track to discuss data protection in the USA. Ben Kieckhefer is the Senator of the State of Nevada and will be presenting a case study specifically focusing on North America, and the regulations governing data protection within the IoT market, both existing and future. November 29 – 4:30pm.

Developing for the IoT – Keynote Panel: Monetisation – Unlocking the revenue potential

Senior-level speakers from Wells Fargo, Visa, Geotab and Momenta Partners will be discussing different strategies to enable monetisation and achieve competitive advantage whilst asking the question; Should companies move away from one function devices? The session will explore the role of collaboration and how partnerships can help unlock revenue potential, ways in which new data sources can be utilised to provide new opportunities and what problems this may cause, before examining the different strategies for start-ups to monetise new products and move towards value based outcomes. IoT Innovations & Technologies – Bluetooth Session: The Expanding Role of Bluetooth in the IoT – Bridging the Gap Between Connected Places and Smart Places

Bluetooth will host a unique series of fireside chats which will tap into some of the leading integrators, suppliers, customers and analysts to explore the impact of a newly expanded range of fit-for-purpose network topologies from Bluetooth across multiple sectors, including Smart Industry, Smart Buildings, Smart Cities, and Smart Homes. Smart Transportation & Cities – Panel: Connected Spaces – using IoT for public safety and increased quality of life

Featuring CIOs from the City of Albuquerque, City of San Leandro and the County of San Mateo, this panel discussion is not to be missed. These CIOs will look at how technologies like smart phones, NFC, RFID, beacons and sensors are being utilised in cities and beyond for both increasing public safety and maximising the QOL of citizens, in addition to issues surrounding data collection from IoT projects around traffic monitoring, waste management, water metering and street lighting such as privacy, and analytics? The session will also explore the connectivity issues, the role of cloud for data storage and analytics and the factors needed to get engagement from government and citizens alike. IoT Tech Expo Europe 2017: Highlights from the two day event in Berlin

Firstly, we’d like to thank all those who attended the IoT Tech Expo Europe 2017 which returned to Berlin at a new venue with an extended agenda, larger expo, brand new topics and two co-located events covering Blockchain and AI. The event attracted an audience of over 4,000 attendees with delegates from across Europe and beyond. We hope you found the event beneficial and made some new connections.

The two-day event hosted 2 co located events, 10 conference tracks, an exhibition, start-up incubator, IoT meetup and an evening of networking. Join DSI4EU’s final event in London!

The Digital Social Innovation for Europe (DSI4EU) is an online platform supporting those developing open hardware and software solutions that tackle social challenges.

The platform showcases the work of Makers and designers, and tags their organizations as part of networks like research alliances or membership bodies. DSI4EU also aims to map and identify fundings across Europe, along with other potential partners and collaborators for digital social innovators.

On May 16th, DSI4EU will share their approach to policy, funding, and public service partnerships with policymakers, investors and practitioners in London. The event will take place at Nesta headquarters (58 Victoria Embankment, London, EC4Y 0DS) and is open to everyone (free registration).

Topics discussed will include: lessons about growth and impact from the innovators themselves, building capacity in the non-profit, funding, investment and sustainable business models, as well as emerging city-based strategic approaches to digital social innovation.

Then on May 17th, participants will be able to join fellow practitioners, policymakers, and civil society groups from Europe on a tour of London’s most exciting digitial social innovation venues, while gaining an overview on some amazing projects that are delivering real social impact. Each organization will host for an hour and offer a short workshop with opportunities for networking, conversation, and knowledge exchange.
